One born every second

According to a recent news report, there is now a new blog created every SECOND. That's 3,600 every hour, or 86,400 a day, or 31,536,000 per year, or about one for every two passengers who use Heathrow Airport each year.

Given this vast number, how can any individual blog hope to stand out in a crowd? The idea of blogs is to spread your personal thoughts and opinions around, but what are the odds of anyone reading your blog rather than some of the other 31 million that'll be added this year?

Gulp.

HEY! I'M OVER HERE! CAN ANYONE HEAR ME? ANYONE AT ALL? HELLO???

  • That's alot of blogs. Personally I use them to keep in touch with friends that I would otherwise not be bothered with - so I couldn't give a fork if noone else reads mine. =P

I read yours! (Although I've not been a good stalker of late - forgive me!) Must remember to add stalking into my scheduel...

  • Noooo! Stop thrusting your spam dagger into Leemy!

  • "Leemy?!" Ahem. Anyway, the spam has now been deleted. Anyone who's looking for anti-spyware should go to an established software supplier.
